2020-005 Administrative Technician, Regional Development of Human Resources

Under the authority of the director of the Regional Development of Human Resources, the technician shall ensure the smooth functioning of secretarial duties. He or she shall assist the immediate superior and the department’s personnel in administrative and clerical duties.

 

More specifically, he or she shall:

 

Assist the Planning and Programming agents in charge of the Pre-North training by managing the participants’ registration process;

Ensure reservation for the training rooms and catering services;

Report the attendance to the human resources department of both Health Centers;

Be in charge of receiving invoices and travel expenses forms from consultants and ensuring a follow-up with the accounting department;

Order and keep an inventory of the training material; compile statistics; and support other logistical aspects;

Contribute to the Planning and Programming agents in charge of recruitment events by coordinating the courier services for the transport of promotional material from the warehouse to the events; setting up the booth and dismantle it after the event; and supporting other logistical aspects.

Be in charge of the warehouse’s supplying by making inventories of the promotion material; coordinating with the NRBHSS communication section for the production of promotion items.

Be in charge of the logistical aspects of the Regional Advisory Committee on Human Resources (RACHR) by sending and managing invitations; managing travel logistics of the participants; writing the meeting agenda and minutes; reserving rooms and visio-conferences equipment; and supporting other logistical aspects.

Support the Director and Planning and Programming agents regarding the logistical aspects of any travels, projects to come, meetings and committees.Assume any other related tasks at the request of his or her immediate superior.

 

Experience required

College diploma in office automation or other appropriate discipline; however, a combination of relevant experience and training shall be taken into consideration
Relevant work experience
Excellent spoken and written skills in at least two of the three languages in use in Nunavik (English, Inuktitut, French)
Good knowledge of the MS Office suite
Solid skills in team work and management of priorities

Conditions and benefits

Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.

Permanent, full-time position (35 hours/week)

Position based in Kuujjuaq

Salary according to the rules set forth by the MSSS

Northern benefits: retention premium ($6,000/year), isolation premium (10,015/year), cost-of-living allowance ($3,085/year) and, if hired more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, subsidized housing provided, moving and storage expenses reimbursed, annual personal trips from Kuujjuaq to point of hiring provided, etc.
