Under the authority of the assistant to the director of Administrative Services, the coordinator shall ensure the management of financial resources and the coordination of activities related to development of the NRBHSS’ budget. The coordinator shall supervise all accounting operations for the NRBHSS’ operating funds and various earmarked funds. He or she shall ensure operations under the various portfolios involving the entire NRBHSS and shall serve as intermediary between the NRBHSS, the Ministère de la Santé et des Services Sociaux (MSSS) and the health centres of Nunavik.
The coordinator shall also be responsible for accounting management of capital investments and the strategic regional plan.
Ensure sound management of his or her team’s human resources (five employees), in accordance with organizational values;
Plan financial, physical and information resources and prepare his or her sector’s operating structure;
Prepare and administer the regional board’s budget, control the expenses therein within the imposed limits and make any necessary corrections;
Produce monthly financial statements as well as the report for the board of directors;
Produce the budget and revise it periodically with the directors;
Improve accounting processes and innovate where possible;
Produce various analysis reports;
Respond to various requests from the MSSS;
Contribute to the analysis of documents submitted by the region’s health and social services institutions for the lines of credit sent to the MSSS and make recommendations thereon, including the amount for said lines of credit;
Ensure monitoring of financial data and serve as intermediary between the MSSS and the network’s health institutions;
Annually revise the accounting plan and adjust the chart of accounts according to organizational evolution at the regional board;
Assume responsibility for the full pay cycle;
Supervise purchasing according to the relevant laws.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting sciences or other discipline related to the position;
Member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (CPA);
5 to 10 years’ relevant experience, of which at least two in a management position;
Relevant work experience in the health and social services network is considered a major asset;
Work experience in the North is considered an asset;
Proven mobilizing leadership, capacity to manage priorities in an environment in constant flux and growth, capacity to develop innovative strategies in response to management guidelines;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English; communication skills in Inuktitut is considered a major asset;
Mastery of the various informatics tools in the MS Office suite as well as Outlook;
Mastery of technology;
Familiarity with Logibec and the SBFR are considered an asset.

Permanent, full-time management position, class 37 ($73,700 to $101,000 annually, depending on your relevant professional profile);
35 hours work per week;
Isolation premium ($10,015/year), cost-of-living allowance ($3,075/year) and retention premium ($5,975);
If hired more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, moving expenses reimbursed and subsidized, furnished housing provided;
