As a specialist in administrative procedures, you accompany and support the director of public health in the execution of projects and activities of her department. You assist her in her administrative functions and make sure you collect, maintain, disseminate and store all information. You analyze the needs, develop and provide the professional techniques in connection with the administrative systems in order to improve the functioning of your direction. In addition, you supervise the work of the secretarial staff. Finally, you support the activities of the medical department of public health.
QualificationsUndergraduate university degree in administration or other appropriate academic discipline; however, a combination of other training and relevant experience may be considered;
Minimum experience of 5 years in a similar position;
Good knowledge of the Nunavik health and social services network and of the functioning of public health;
Excellent knowledge of the Office suite, Sharepoint, Outlook and Teams;
Excellent knowledge of French and English, both oral and written. Knowledge of Inuktitut will be considered an important asset;
Ability to develop tools for monitoring, managing and sharing information;
Ability to produce high quality documents and write in simple and clear language texts of an administrative nature (directives, procedures, minutes, etc.);
Endowed with a keen sense of adapting to changes, managing priorities, communicating and popularizing information as well as exercising leadership while promoting collaborative work;
Demonstrates excellent judgment and a sense of responsibility.
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) shall receive priority.
Permanent, full-time position (35 hours/week);
Hourly salary of 23.63$ to 43.63$ based on your experience
Isolation premium ($10,015/year), cost-of-living allowance ($3,085/year) and retention premium ($6,000);
If hired more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, moving expenses reimbursed and subsidized, furnished housing provided;
3 - 4 return trips per year to point of hiring depending on family situation;
4 weeks of vacation as of first year of employment;
