2020-048 Informatics Technician

Under the authority of the director of Administrative Services and the supervision of the coordinator for informatics services, the technician shall support the users of the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services as well as those of our two health centres and other points of service.

 

The technician shall work at installation and configuration of the required computers, software and peripherals remotely or on site. He or she shall ensure maintenance of the informatics stock, diagnose incidents, and document interventions and procedures. He or she must be available to travel to Nunavik for replacement purposes.

Qualifications

College diploma in informatics; however, a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered

A+ certification shall be considered a major asset

Minimum of two years’ experience

Experience in the health network shall be considered an asset

Sound knowledge of the Windows environment and its software suite

Experience with VMware, Octopus and surveillance systems (PRTG, SolarWinds Orion) shall be considered an asset

Excellent skills in at least two of the three languages in use in the region (English, Inuktitut, French)

Proven capacity for analysis, autonomy, teamwork and client services

 

Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.

Conditions and benefits

Permanent, full-time position

Position based on telework in the metropolitan region of Montréal with frequent travel to Nunavik

Salary according to the rules set forth by the MSSS ($22.59/h to $30.46/h)

 

Note that employees of the health and social services network are eligible for northern leave without pay.
