The plan to eliminate tuberculosis in Nunavik includes population-screening campaigns for tuberculosis. Under the direct supervision of the pivot nurse and within a multidisciplinary team, the technician shall travel to the various communities of Nunavik and take pulmonary X-rays of patients as well as perform other related tasks.Qualifications
Appropriate collegial-studies diploma; however, a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered
Excellent oral and written skills in at least two of the three languages in use in Nunavik (French, English, Inuktitut)
Capacity for work under pressure and according to a variable schedule
Experience in a remote region and with tuberculosis shall be considered an asset
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.
Temporary, part-time position of one year with possibility of extension
Regular visits of several weeks to the Nunavik communities
Salary according to the rules set forth by the MSSS
When travelling, daily allowances defined under the working conditions shall be paid and lodging provided.
