2020-052 2020-052 Planning and Programming Officer, Programs for Children, Youths and Families - Anikaulaurtutut Kamajingitù

Under the authority of the director of Planning and Programming and the direct supervision of the coordinator for the children-youths-families programs, the officer shall contribute to the planning, organization and evaluation of services for youths in difficulty. He or she shall work closely with the region’s various partners involved in the portfolio consisting of children, youths and families.

Moreover, the officer shall participate in various committees aimed at adapting and improving the services offered to children, youths and families. His or her principal task shall consist of cooperating in the application of recommendations relative to the revision of the youth in difficulty program, in order to ensure that the established procedures, protocols, intervention practices are in respect of inuit values and are culturally relevant.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences; however, a combination of other pertinent training and experience may be taken into consideration

Three years’ experience in supportive relations

Good oral and written skills in 2 of these languages : English, Inuktitut and French

Familiarity with the MS Office suite

 

Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.

Experience required

Temporary, full-time position of one year

Position based in Kuujjuaq

Salary according to the rules set forth by the MSSS (25.25$/h to 45.22$/h)

Northern benefits: retention premium ($6,000/year), isolation premium ($10,015/year), cost-of-living allowance ($3,085/year) and, if hired more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, subsidized housing provided, moving and storage expenses reimbursed, annual personal trips from Kuujjuaq to point of hiring provided, etc.

 

Note that employees of the health and social services network are eligible for northern leave without pay.
