Under the authority of the director of Administrative Services and the supervision of the coordinator of informatics services, the technician shall set up, maintain, support and ensure the evolution of the network and telecommunications hardware and software components according to the established plan of action.
The technician shall perform the required analyses in order to respond to the needs in the evolution of infrastructures and projects and ensure the necessary actions. He or she shall define, configure and document the software and server installations under his or her responsibility and ensure their evolution.
He or she shall assume responsibility for some projects and cooperate with various actors in other projects. Teamwork is essential and the technician shall assume certain tasks in the absence of colleagues.
DEC in informatics
Four to six years’ experience in the health network
Experience in project management
Excellent knowledge of network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls)
Sound knowledge of the IMTN
Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook 365
Knowledge of telecommunications (satellite communications) shall be considered an asset
Attention to setup of solutions responding to security principles
Familiarity with Windows network services
Oral and written skills in French and English; Inuktitut shall be considered an asset
Autonomy, dynamism and capacity for teamwork
Availability for work during evenings and weekends according to a schedule to be determined
Availability to travel throughout the region
Temporary, full-time position of 6 months with possibility of permanence
Position based in Kuujjuaq
Salary according to the norms in effect in the health and social services network
