Under the authority of the coordinator for medical affairs and physical health and jointly with the region’s partners, the RUIS telehealth coordination centre and the MSSS telehealth coordination centre, the officer shall assume the functions necessary to coordinate medical and physical-health services and ensure they are accessible and maintained via telehealth in the region.
The officer shall carry out activities necessary to identification and evaluation of regional resources and needs in telehealth. He or she shall design and propose the plans required to ensure adequate planning of telehealth services in the region. He or she shall provide advice relative to the implantation or improvement of existing services.
The officer shall coordinate the implantation of service corridors between the various levels (local, regional and university) and the development of service agreements and shall report on the continuity of the services offered to the population.
The officer shall also assume specific tasks and serve as resource person for the teams of the region’s institutions and the regional board, again from the perspective of improving the continuity of the telehealth service supply.
At the regional level, facilitate and ensure the functioning of various committees and work groups related to telehealth.
Attend meetings of the RUIS telehealth coordination centre and the MSSS telehealth coordination centre for the telehealth portfolio.
Ensure the necessary communications, including preparation of documentation (agenda, minutes, plan of action, etc.), to inform the various entities for the purpose of better coordination of their actions.
Collaborate in the design of tools necessary to updating guidelines, prepare the statement of accomplishments and participate in the systematic analysis of results.
Conduct analyses of and follow-up to specific portfolios at the request of the MSSS and the regional board’s other departments.
Work jointly with the team members and the other departments.
Carry out any other related tasks at the request of his or her immediate superior.
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline (humanities or health sciences); however, a combination of relevant experience and training may be considered
Experience in the health and social services network, more particularly in medical affairs and physical health through telehealth
Interest in new technologies
Sound understanding of clinical and organizational issues
Aptitudes for interpersonal relations, teamwork and cooperation with various interveners
Dynamism, autonomy and sense of responsibility
Sound judgment and sense of organization and planning
Skills in analysis, synthesis and negotiation
Strong management, coordination and group-facilitation skills
Excellent capacity for oral and written communication
Oral and written skills in at least two of the three official languages of Nunavik
Functional knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) as well as e-mail and Internet software
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.
Temporary, full-time position (35 hours/week) of one year with possibility of extension
Position based on telework
Salary according to the rules set forth by the MSSS and commensurate with experience ($25.25/h to $45.22/h)
During travel, the daily allowances defined in the working conditions shall be paid and lodging provided if the destination is more than 50 kilometres from the place of work.
