In Nunavik, there are a multitude of health and social services employment opportunities available to Nunavimmiut. A recruitment officer is sought to promote these opportunities to Nunavimmiut.
- Reach out to people in the communities by organizing information and recruitment activities to promote job opportunities;
- Introduce Nunavimmiut students to good jobs by initiating and coordinating visits and short-term internships;
- Travel! You will coordinate visits to teaching locations in Nunavik or outside the region for Nunavik Inuit students;
- Helping Nunavimmiut Access Jobs: The officer may, from time to time, provide training activities or programs for Inuit workers.
Combination of relevant training or experience;
Essential skills and aptitudesFluency in Inuktitut and working knowledge of English or French;
Functional knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word and Excel), email software and Internet;
Be available to move around the territory on a regular basis.
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.
Permanent, full-time position (35 hours/week);
Position based in Kuujjuaq with travel to Nunavik;
Salary according to the rules set forth by the MSSS (26.66$/h to 45.70$/h).
Northern benefits: retention premium ($6,000/year), isolation premium ($10,627/year), cost-of-living allowance ($3,085/year) and, if hired more than 50 km from Kuujjuaq, subsidized housing provided, moving and storage expenses reimbursed, annual personal trips from Kuujjuaq to point of hiring provided, etc.
