Under the authority of the director of Regional Human-Resources Development, the officer shall be responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating activities related to the promotion of jobs in the Nunavik health and social services network. He or she shall establish communications with Nunavik’s various partners in order to identify all the needs to be filled. He or she shall participate in development of the platform Perspective Nunavik jointly with the communications team of the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services. Moreover, jointly with the Nunavik organizations and institutions in the South, he or she shall plan, organize and coordinate various internship projects in Nunavik.
The officer may be called upon to participate in the orientation training program for newly hired employees of the two health centres and the NRBHSS.
He or she may participate in provincial committees on manpower planning as well as in provincial committees on shared, ongoing training.
The officer shall also be responsible for:
Diversifying, planning and carrying out recruitment activities;
Delivering the orientation training for new employees;
Participating in various committees on personnel recruitment, retention and training at a regional and provincial level;
Cooperating with the department’s various partners
Participate on any other task required.
University degree in industrial relations, administration or communication, or a combination of equivalent training and experience
Experience in the field of training
Familiarity with the health and social services network
Familiarity with northern regions shall be considered an asset
Spoken and written skills in at least two of the three languages in use in the region: Inuktitut, English and French
Sound knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Candidates who are beneficiaries of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement shall receive priority.
Temporary, full-time position of one year with possibility of extension
Position based on telework with regular travel to Nunavik, Montréal and elsewhere
Salary according to the rules set forth by the MSSS
During travel, the daily allowances stipulated under the working conditions shall be paid and lodging provided if the destination is more than 50 kilometres from the place of work.
