STATUS: Permanent full time positions (38.75 hours/week)
SERVICE: INUKJUAQ, Rehabilitation Unit (girls unit)
IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR: Head of Rehabilitation Unit
DIRECTION: Direction of Regional Rehabilitation Services
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
FUNCTIONS:
The person shall ensure, within the rehabilitation unit, support, monitoring and facilitation for youth referred to it. Welcomes young clients and manages in time of crisis, disruptive behavior, or help in time of special needs. In addition, can be called, in terms of support to stakeholders, to attend when the situation requires it. Meets some of the needs of young people according to the rehabilitation goals pursued. Intervene even physically when the situation requires and proceed with searches on users when requested. Observes the behavior of the clients and share observations through significant reports within the continued treatment of the young. Carries out safety rounds at the facility.
High school diploma
Fluent in Inuktitut, also proficient in English or French
Relevant experience is an asset
Valid driver’s license
Be sensitive, understanding and emotionally mature and display a positive attitude
Available to work day, evening and week-end shifts
Willing to participate in any training provided by the employer or educational institution and deemed necessary for a more effective performance of their duties or tasks
Share knowledge and skills, work in collaboration with other interveners
No active or pending criminal record; no history of sexual abuse; no active substance abuse problem
SALARY: Min. 804.45$ Max. 896.29$ for 38.75 hours
ISOLATION PREMIUM: $191.93 or 338.29 / week – As per the family status
HIGH COST OF LIVING: 98.09 $ / week, or more according to the family status
