Human Relations Officer (Addiction key intervener) - Kuujjuaq
STATUS : Temporary full-time position
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR : Head of Programs – (Social services)
STARTING DATE : As soon as possible
FUNCTIONS :
The human relations officer in addiction, carries out design, consultation, updating, analysis and evaluation activities in one or more social programs. They carry out psychosocial interventions within an interdisciplinary philosophy. They collaborate in the various stages of the programming of the addiction activities to which they are assigned and in the evaluation of quality. They organize and participate in promotion and prevention activities.
SPECIFIC DUTIES :
Ensure individual, couple, family and co-intervention follow-up of clients with a problem of dependence, with priority given to young people as well as parents of young children;
Evaluate incoming cases, using standardized assessment procedures;
Provide clinical support to CLSC interveners for external and post-treatment follow-ups;
Participate in the development and evaluation of programs for the promotion and prevention of addictions;
Coordinate continuity of services between Community Services and Rehabilitation Services;
Work in collaboration with various organization in the community;
Participate in the 24/7 psychosocial emergency services;
Perform all other related duties as requested by his immediate superior.
Must have a Bachelor degree in Social Work, Psychology or Educational Psychology;
Addiction scholar (university) knowledge would be a major asset;
Must be a member of l’Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec OR l’Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices du Québec (in accordance with Law 24);
Knowledge of the drug and alcohol abuse field and related evaluation processes;
Have at least two (2) years of relevant work experience with clients presenting alcohol and substance abuse problems;
One year experience in a addiction rehabilitation center will be considered a major asset;
Be bilingual (French and English), Inuktitut would be an asset;
Have leadership skills and initiative as well as be able to work independently;
Be able and willing to work with the multidisciplinary team and share knowledge and experience;
Capable of travelling as required by the duties;
Must have a valid driver licence;
Share the 24/7 psychosocial emergency services.
SALARY : Min: 947.80$ Max: 1679.30$ for 35 hours
ISOLATION PREMIUM : 199.67$/week or more depending on the family status
HIGH COST OF LIVING : 61.16$/week or more depending on family status
RETENTION PREMIUM : 114.99$/week or more depending on the number of years of service
Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she is called upon to perform her duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per status (shared lodging if necessary).
