The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is a multivocational institution in Nunavik, which serves seven villages of the coast of Ungava Bay including Kuujjuaq, where is located the administrative center. The health center has nearly 500 full-time employees, a team of doctors, dentists and pharmacists, and manages a budget of 80 million dollars.

JOB TITLE: Human Resources Management Agent – Labor Relations
STATUS: Temporary full-time position for 9 months, with possibility or prolongation Non-unionized position
PLACE OF WORK : Telework
IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR: Assistant to the Director of Human Resources
STARTING DATE: July 2022


SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

Under the authority of the Assistant to the Director of Human Resources, advises managers on the interpretation of collective agreements, the application and monitoring of the disciplinary and administrative management process. The incumbent attends labour relations committees, negotiates management/union agreements and grievance settlements. He/she participates in the resolution of conflictual situations and incivility. He/She is an active element in the prevention and process complaints of psychological harassment and violence in the workplace.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in industrial relations or public administration or other appropriate discipline;

Two (2) years of relevant experience in labor relations, ideally in the health and social services network;

Bilingualism, French and English (spoken and written), knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset;

Knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), knowledge of Espresso GRH-payroll system from Logibec would be an asset;

Experience in remote areas and knowledge of Inuit culture would be an asset;

Integrity, confidentiality, sense of responsibility and autonomy, sense of analysis, synthesis and decision making;Great ability to work in a team, to promote the customer service approach and to establish harmonious interpersonal relations; ability to work under pressure. Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to the management of labor relation files with northern specificities

Conditions and benefits

SALARY: Min.: 933,10$/week    Max.:   1 599,50$/week for 35 hours
