SERVICE: CLSC Designated Center- Sexual Violence, Healthy Relationships
STATUS: Permanent full-time
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Head of Program (Youth and Family)

MANDATE:
The Human Relations Officer-Designated Center performs psychosocial interventions in collaboration with different health care professionals and supports clients who have experienced sexual violence and/or struggle with healthy relationships. The Human Relations Officer-Designated Center offers individual, family and group interventions. The agent collaborates with other members of the CLSC in the planning and programming of services related to sexual violence and healthy relationships. The agent participates in the creation and evaluation of activities related to violence prevention and the promotion of healthy relationships. The agent is in charge of training other professionals of the Ungava Coast on this topic.

 
FUNCTIONS:
See the organization and operation of sexual violence services as a resource person at the designated UTHC Center;
Update a medico-social-medico-legal intervention protocol for the facility;
Take care of the training of the interveners related to the intervention protocol;
Provide psychosocial interventions to clients (youth and adults) who are dealing with various issues related to sexual violence and healthy relationships;
Work clinically with an individual, family or group approach;
Participate in activities to prevent sexual violence and promote healthy relationships;
Create formal and informal links with the population and local organizations to foster better collaboration;
Offer support to CLSC and other school community professionals in Ungava Bay regarding sexual violence;
Participate in psychosocial emergency services 24/7;
Write an annual activity report;
Perform other related duties at the request of his immediate superior.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Psychoeducation, Criminology or Sexology
Be a member of his professional order
Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with victims of sexual assault
Have a minimum of 1 year of work experience in remote areas
Fluency in English and French (spoken and written); knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and interest in sharing knowledge and experiences with colleagues
Experience in organizing projects and setting up services is a major asset
Ability to establish a therapeutic relationship with clients
Sense of organization, initiative and autonomy
Valid driver's license
Available to travel in various Nunavik communities.

Conditions and benefits

SALARY: Min: $ 883.75      Max: $1582.70  per week
ISOLATION PREMIUM:  $ 191.93 per week
CARGO PREMIUM: $ 59.14/ week, or more according to family status

 Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometres from the locality in which she is called upon to perform her duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per status. Shared lodging or transit if necessary.
