Under the authority of the director and under the supervision of the deputy director of community services, the person works on the mobile intervention team in co-intervention with a police officer from the KRPF as well as on the Nitsiq team on a rotating schedule. .

The MIT team works in collaboration with community partners, more particularly with CLSC social services workers, the KRPF and the CSI hospital services in order to respond to emergency calls involving people in psychosocial crises and in danger. immediate.

The Nitsiq team works in collaboration with legal actors and educators in Saqijuq to offer alternative justice measures to people who have committed criminal offenses under the influence of alcohol or drugs.


  • Works and intervenes as a team with a KRPF police officer to respond to psychosocial emergency calls;
  • Performs social patrols in the community to carry out preventive interventions;
  • Intervenes directly with clients in crisis or conflict situations;
  • Works in collaboration with the partners of the CSI (such as social workers, rehabilitation services, community workers, nurses, doctors, residential mental health resources) as well as those of the community including the municipal council, the KRPF, etc. .;
  • Receives and evaluates referrals made to Nitsiq.
  • Assess and follow up on Nitsiq clients and write reports for the court.
  • Sets up all the services required for Nitsiq clients and ensures close follow-up with the client's processing center (Portage or Isuarsivik).
  • Provides statistics to Saqijuq Project Coordinator, Nitsiq Clinical Leader, Community Services Directors and KRPF Captain.

  • Final university degree in human relations (psychology, psychoeducation, social work, criminology etc.)
  • Graduate degree in intervention would be an asset
Experience required
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the health and social services network
  • Addiction and Mental Health Intervention
  • Crisis intervention

Conditions and benefits
