HUMAN RELATION AGENT DYP EO URGENT

The Inuulitsivik Health Centre, with more than 900 employees, is part of the Quebec health and social services network in the Nunavik region. It provides front-line health and social services, including prevention, assessment, diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation and support, to the approximately 7,000 people in the Hudson Bay territory. In addition, it provides services related to child protection and the management of Ullivik in the Dorval region of Nunavik. The latter’s mission is to welcome Inuit people who must receive health services in the participating Montreal hospitals. The Inuit population is distributed in seven communities along the Hudson Bay coast, from Kuujjuaraapik to Salluit.

A person who, under the authority of the Director of Child Protection, carries out design activities, assessment, analysis of reports, and the design and maintenance of response plans to address client compromises. It will also have to implement measures ordered by the Court or agreements that are subject to voluntary measures. The person will be required to provide certain periods of psychosocial custody. Perform any other duties related to the request of the immediate supervisor.


 

Qualifications

Must have a first university degree in Humanities, such as: social service, criminology, psychology, psychoeducation;
Be a member of the respective College of Employment Title and/or be able to perform reserved activities; Theoretical and practical knowledge of the Youth Protection Act and the concept of protection;
Have experience with children;
Fluency in French and English, spoken and written;
Hold a valid driver’s licence;
Great adaptability in a different environment and culture;
Developed sense of analysis and synthesis;
Ability to work under pressure, in emergency and crisis situations.

 

Conditions and benefits

Hourly rate between $25.25 and $45.22; For evaluation-orientation blitz, indeterminate;8-9 weeks in the North or upon your availability;
Furnished housing provided;
Cargo premium between $36.64/sem and $146.29/sem depending on village;
Remoteness bonus between $191.93/sem and $226.39/sem depending on the village;
Retention premium of $114.99/wk.
