The Inuulitsivik Health Centre, with more than 900 employees, is part of the health and social services network in Quebec, Nunavik region. It provides the Hudson's Bay territory of approximately 7,000 people with front-line health and social services, including prevention, assessment, diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation and support services. In addition, he provides services related to the protection of young people and the management, for the Nunavik region, of Ullivik located in Dorval. The latter's mission is to welcome Inuit people who are to receive health services in participating Montreal hospitals. The Inuit population is distributed in seven communities on the Hudson Bay coast, from Kuujjuaraapik to Salluit.
The main role is to assist the dentist and/or dental hygienist in dental treatments.
The dental assistant is a key person to ensure good communication and understanding between the patient, the dentist and/or dental hygienist.
The dental assistant performs the following tasks: welcoming patients, informing and/or translating; refer and accompany as needed ensures the comfort and general needs of patients. The dental assistant also participates in setting up the room, maintaining and disinfecting the equipment, transferring the instruments to the dentist and sucking during procedures, kneading dental materials, developing dental films, explaining post-operative instructions to the patient, teaching dental hygiene procedures, ensuring the overall cleanliness of the clinic and laboratory.
Hold a Professional Studies Diploma (DEP) in Dental Assistance;
Be bilingual (French and English) speaking Inuktitut is an asset.
Temporary full time 6 months, based in Puvirnituq
Hourly rate between $20.20 and $21.55
Nordic premiums $307.57 per week.
