Permanent full time, mid-manager position (35 hours per week)
SUPERVISOR: Director of Regional Rehabilitation Services
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
Person who, under the authority of Director of Regional Rehabilitation Services for youth in difficulty, in conformity with the intervention philosophy, the policies, the internal protocols and the Law: ensures the planning, organization, supervision and control of the overall activities and implementation of programs which are part of his/her jurisdiction and responsibility, such as; clinical programming, cultural and school programming as well as, the access to institutional rehabilitation services. Ensures management of material, financial and human resources.
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences with a solid experience in rehabilitation services
Knowledge of different theories and approaches: Attachment Theory, Systemic Approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Developmental Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Approach
Theoretical and practical knowledge of the Youth Protection Act, the concept of protection and the Youth Criminal Justice Act
Relevant management experience and/or demonstrated leadership skill
Communication skills, bilingualism is essential English (written and spoken), French, Inuktitut is an asset
Capacity to adapt to a different environment and culture
Analytical, problem solver
Capacity to function despite an unstable context, emergency or crisis situation
Capacity to work in team
Respect of clientele
Available to travel
SALARY: Class 37 - according to MHSS regulations Minimum: 73,955$ /year Maximum: 96,141$ /year
ISOLATION PREMIUM: 9,819$ or 17,306$, as per the family status
HIGH COST OF LIVING: 5,100$ or more as per the family status
RETENTION PREMIUM: 6,000$ per year or more, as per the service (temporary measure)
As an indication, the position is based in Inukjuak. Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she is called upon to perform her duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit, as per status.
*Priority will be given to managers who are entitled to job stability.
