SUPERVISOR: Director of Youth Protection (DYP-PD)
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
Person who, under the authority of the Director of Youth Protection and Provincial Director, ensures the administration of the <<Application des measures>> and provides support and supervision to the staff under his authority. Ensures the development and implementation of policies relating to the activities under his supervision. Administers the budget of his service and ensures expenses control. Manages the review reports, the intervention plans and manages the reports following the closing of files. Participates in the identification of training needs for his staff in collaboration with the other supervisor in place. If necessary, shall be called to perform certain supervisory responsibilities at the Evaluation and Orientation service during periods of absence of the other supervisor.
Must withhold a First Terminal University Diploma in Human Sciences as: Social Work, Criminology, Psychology or Psycho-education
Must be member in good standing of his professional Order
Have a theoretical and practical knowledge of : Youth Protection Act (including adoption), Concept of protection, Youth Criminal Justice Act, Health Services and Social Services Act
Ability to communicate correctly in English, in French and ideally in Inuktitut
Have a three (3) years relevant experience in administration
Capacity to adapt to a different culture and environment
Capacity of working in a context of emergency, instability and pressure; Sense of analysis and synthesis
Capacity of working in a team and have good listening skills
Discrete, autonomous, emphatic, diplomat, responsible, added with initiative and proper judgement
Respect for clientele; respect for authority
Available to travel in six other communities in Ungava Bay when required
SALARY: Working conditions shall be those applicable to the mid-managers of the Health and Social Services network. Class 15 Min: 73 147 $ Max: 95 090 $ / year
ISOLATION PREMIUM: 10 015 $ or 17 652 $/ year, as per the family status
RETENTION PREMIUM: 6000 $ / year or as per the number of years of service
HIGH LIVING COST: 3 075 $ / year, or more as per the number of dependents
Working conditions shall be those applicable to the managers of the Health and Social Services network.
Additional northern benefits are applicable. Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she is called upon to perform his/her duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging, as per status.
