STATUS: Temporary Full time (35h/week)
PLACE OF WORK: Kuujjuaq
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is located in Kuujjuaq. It provides all health and social services in the eastern part of Nunavik. It serves seven Inuit communities with as many CLSCs, a seniors' center and a hospital in Kuujjuaq. It employs approximately 1,000 employees: administrators, professionals, doctors, dentists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, support staff, casual employees, etc.

The communities of Nunavik are located north of the 55th parallel where a subarctic climate prevails. This climate results in permafrost and does not allow for any agriculture. Nunavik is the largest region covering approximately one third of the total area of Quebec. There are no road links between the communities of Nunavik and southern Quebec, nor between the communities of Nunavik themselves. Access to the region and its communities is only by air and sea.

FUNCTIONS

Under the authority of the Director of Technical services, the Management Consultant of Technical Services has as main mandate is to optimize resources, particularly with the respect to the real estate and vehicle fleet.

He provides leadership in a context of change and continuous improvement. He coordinates the administrative work and project management within the Technical Services Department. He implements high quality, optimized and efficient services and shares decision-making authority and accountability with his supervisor for the results expected by management.

He supports and collaborates with several partners in his efforts to achieve organizational objectives. This position acts as an advisor to management personnel in his field of expertise, while assuming responsibility for compliance with internal policies and procedures. 

Supports the Director of Technical Services and Department Heads to establish management solutions;

Conducts studies and analyses within his/her area of expertise and makes appropriate recommendations;

Participates in the development and implementation of the three-year operational plan;

Prepares the compliance and follow-up documents requested by the MSSS and other partner organizations;

Participates in the various accountability processes (MSSS / CEO / etc.);

Supports the Maintenance, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering and Capital Projects Office teams to improve performance;

Ensures the organization meets regulatory requirements and obtains required approvals;

Establishes physical resource management solutions with internal customers;Participates in the management of the computer system on Assets + Network (A+R

Qualifications

University degree in administration, architecture, engineering or other field combined with relevant experience;

Master's degree in industrial relations or administration or related field an asset;

At least three (3) years of relevant experience;

Experience in real estate or automobile fleet management will be considered an asset;

Dynamic bilingual communicator (French and English, Inuktitut is an asset)

Ability to analyze and synthesize information

Experience in the health care network will be considered an asset;

The applicable working conditions are those of middle managers in the health and social services sector.

CLASS 36: Min: $74 481 to Max. $96 826 / year
NORTHERN PREMIUM : 203.66$/week
HIGH COST LIVING PREMIUM : 61.16$ / week
