STATUS: Permanent full-time - 37.50 hours/week,
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Nursing and Hospital Services
STARTING DATE: Dès que possible

The person collaborated in the creation, application, adaptation and evaluation of public health programs and tools related to the issues, prioritized by the communities and the general management. She will work in collaboration with the Regional Public Health Authority on issues of prevention, promotion and protection. She will ensure the dissemination and proper use of tools, protocols and public health guide by UTHC workers. She will collaborate with the regional public health on epidemiological investigations and follow-up of the necessary information. She will provide training and updates to relevant workers as well as individual and group consulting expertise. She will have to implement the local action plan and support the different directions in the actions expected. She will participate in the health population surveillance of the territory jointly with the regional public health department. She will support and trained employees in order to use the Quebec immunization registry. She may intervene directly with the CLSC staff and travel in the territory.


Must have a Bachelor Degree in Nursing;
Active member of O.I.I.Q;
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in public health;
Good knowledge of the public health law and programs
Good knowledge of issues related to public health in the Nunavik;
Bilingualism French/English (spoken and written) is essential and knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset;
Good knowledge of CLSC’s services and programs;
Experience in infectious diseases and epidemiological investigation are a major assets;
Good clinical judgment and positive leadership;
Great sense of responsibility and organization;
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and develop good interpersonal relationships.


Conditions and benefits

SALARY: Min.: 961.13$ / week       Max: 1,780.50$ / week
ISOLATION PREMIUM: $191.95 / week or as per the family status
CARGO PREMIUM:  $59.14 / week or as per the family status
RETENTION PREMIUM:  $269.23 / week

Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she is called upon to perform her duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit (may be request to share an apartment or transit) as per the status.
