STATUS:                                          Mid-manager, permanent full-time position (35 hours / week)

PLACE OF WORK :                          Montreal

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:            Director of Administrative Services

STARTING DATE:                             September 2019

 The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is a multivocational institution in Nunavik, which serves seven villages of the coast of Ungava Bay including Kuujjuaq, where is located the administrative center. The Health Center has nearly 500 full-time employees, a team of doctors, dentists and pharmacists, and manages a budget of 100 million.

 MANDATE:  Reporting to the Director of Administrative Services, you ensure to plan, organize, supervise and monitor activities related to financial resources management, including budgeting, accounting, payroll, reservation service (airplanes and hotels) and supply. You are responsible for the development and implementation of internal controls, budget preparation, budget monitoring of the establishment and you are also responsible for the production of performance indicators. You advise all managers on the use of funds and budgets standards and practices. In a client-centered approach and customer service, you play an advisory role with the managers of the organization. You ensure the planning, organization and supervision of the production of periodic financial results and file year-end. 
The candidate should possess the ability to manage in a context of ambiguity, and he is a motivating manager known for his sense of discipline and respect for deadlines. Finally, you promote participatory management focused on results and ensure the performance of the organization in a mobilizing climate of appreciation for your team and internal customers. The person will have to travel and provide at times his/her services in Kuujjuaq; could also have to work at distance

Qualifications

Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Administration (finance option) or in a related discipline. Holding a Master Degree in Administration or in a related field is an asset

Being a member in good standing of l’Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés (CPA)

Experience of 5 years working in financial services management in the Health and Social Services Network

Bilingual (French and English)

Experience working in remote areas and in Aboriginal communities is an asset

 

Conditions and benefits

SALARY:  Working conditions shall be those applicable to managers of the Health and Social Services Network.   Class 15:  Min. 70,257$ to  Max.  91,333$ / year
