Technical Biomedical Engineering Coordinator 3000-051

STATUT: Part-Time on a regular replacement 2 months/2months (38.75 h/week)
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Coordinator - Technical Services
STARTING DATE: To be determinated

We want to recruit someone to complete replacement periods of approximately 2 months of work, followed by 2 months off (unpaid), alternating with the position holder, for a minimum of one year

FUNCTIONS:

Coordinator Biomedical Technology

Under the authority of Coordinator of Technical Services, the person, while performing biomedical engineering technician duties, coordinates and supervise activities of the biomedical engineering service and ensures conformity and quality standards. Participates to develop and put in place optimization and preventive maintenance of biomedical equipment. Ensures orders of equipment, manages the inventory and maintains a register for all biomedical items. Provides necessary reports and statistics

Biomedical Engineering Technician

The person installs, troubleshoots, verifies, calibrates, builds and modifies biomedical electronic equipment and makes the necessary recommendations for its proper operation, including its safety aspect. May also, if necessary, perform similar tasks on industrial electronic equipment.  Ensures compliance with quality standards.  The person is called upon to cover all the services of the establishment such as patient care, laboratory and imaging.  The person will be called upon to perform work in seven northern communities in addition to being available for emergency on-call duty on a rotating evening, night and weekend basis.

 

Qualifications

Hold a college diploma (DEC) in an electronics technology such as electronics technology, computerized systems technology or industrial electronics technology from a school recognized by the competent ministry;

A certificate in "Biomedical Technologies - Electronic Instrumentation" would be an asset;

A valid driver's license;

Three (3) years of relevant experience in installation/repair and preventive maintenance of medical imaging equipment and other types of biomedical devices;

Experience with CMMS (GMAO) software will be considered an asset;

In-depth knowledge of advanced electronics;

Ability and experience in inventory management;

Bilingualism French/English spoken and written, knowledge of Inuktitut an asset;

Sense of organization and autonomy;

Ability to travel to points of service, as required.

Conditions and benefits

SALARY: Min: $977.28      Max: $1,452.74 / 38.75 hours
ISOLATION PREMIUM: $203.66 / week
CARGO PREMIUM: $61.16 / week
RETENTION PREMIUM: $114.99 / week (temporary measure)
SOCIAL BENEFITS:  20.68% for the first 3 months  18.68% after 3 months

Any employee recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per his/ her/his status.  May be shared lodging or transit if necessary
