PLACE OF WORK : Inukjuak
STARTING DATE : As soon as possible
Person who prepares menus, seasons, and cooks food portions using appropriate methods and according to the rules of hygiene and safety;
Ensures optimal use of food and food rotation;
Maintains inventory of food and makes requisitions and orders;
Ensures the maintenance and cleanliness of equipment;
Perform any other related duties as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Must hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in cooking from a school officially recognized by the “Ministère de l’Éducation” or have equivalent qualifications;
Minimum of three (3) years of pertinent experience as a cook; working experience in an institutional organization or in a cafeteria would be a major asset;
Must be interested in the user’s well being;
Bilingualism is essential: English/Inuktitut or English/French (spoken and written);
Knowledge of hygiene, salubrity and maintenance standards in alimentation service;
Be mature and display a positive attitude;
Have a great sense of responsibility and well organized at work;
Willing to work on flexible schedules.
SALARY : $1029.59 / week (38.75 hours)
ISOLATION PREMIUM : $203.66 / week
HIGH COST OF LIVING PREMIUM : $109.09 /week
Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she is called upon to perform her duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit, shared lodging if necessary.
