Dental Hygienist
STATUS : Temporary full time position (35 hours/week)
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR : Head of program Children/Youth/Family
STARTING DATE : October 2022
FUNCTIONS :
Person who applies dental hygiene techniques in matters of preventive and dental care; develops topical application procedures; participates in education on the subject of dental hygiene; teaches preventive methods; performs anamnesis and preliminary examinations; cleans, scales and polishes teeth; develop basic prevention programs; act as promoter in prevention for the population in general (target groups: pregnant women, school, pre-school and day care age child); keeps inventory, fills dental supply orders; may be occasionally requested to wok at the clinic.
CEGEP diploma with a core concentration in dental hygiene from a school recognized by the “ministère de l’Éducation”;
Active member of the “Ordre des hygiénistes dentaires du Québec”;
Two (2) years of experience in the sector of prevention and dental hygiene;
Fully bilingual in French and English (spoken and written); Inuktitut is an asset;
Initiative and autonomy; ability to work within a team; working experience in community health is an asset.
SALARY : Min.: $867.30 / week Max.: $ 1248.45 /week
NORTHERN PREMIUM : $203.66 /week
COST OF LIVING PREMIUM : $61.16 /week
RETENTION PREMIUM : $114.99 /week
Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she is called upon to perform her duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per her family status, shared lodging if necessary.
