The role of the public health practical nurse is varied and targeted according to the public health issues present in the community. She will be required to work in pairs with a Public Health nurse on various files of the Public Health program such as: Sexual health / Promotion and control of infections / Diseases preventable by vaccination / Tuberculosis.
QualificationsDiploma of vocational studies (DVS) in health, assistance and nursing from a school recognized by the competent ministry.
Be a member of the Order of Nursing Assistants of Quebec
Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital center or CLSC
Essential skills and aptitudes· Advanced level of English essential
· Inuktitut an asset
· Strong interest in public health
· Excellent adaptability
Hourly rate between $24.21/h and $32.32/h
Premium cargo $115.64/week;
Remoteness premium $191.93/week without dependent, $338.29/week with dependent;
Retention premium $325.80/week;
3 to 4 annual outings depending on family status;
Up to 16 weeks of leave annually;
Group Insurance;
Furnished accommodation provided;
Moving costs and storage costs assumed by the employer, if applicable;
Airfare paid by the center.
