The Ungava Tulattavik Health Centre is a multi-site facility in Nunavik, serving seven villages on the coast of Ungava Bay, including Kuujjuaq where the administrative center is located. It has close to 500 full-time employees, a team of doctors, dentists and pharmacists, and manages a budget of $80 million.
We are presently looking for candidates who like to take up challenges and who have the desire to live a great adventure within our teams in Kuujjuaq or in the six communities of Ungava Bay, for the following job titles: (It can be a permanent full-time position or a temporary full-time replacement of 6 months or more with the possibility of permanence shortly)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION : If you are currently working in the Health and Social Services Network, you have the possibility of requesting a leave of absence without pay to work in a northern establishment (ref.: article 17.05 FIQ collective agreement).
FUNCTIONS :
Responsible to identify needs in health services, contribute to diagnostic methods, provide and control nursing care which are called for by health promotion, prevention treatment and rehabilitation. Must also provide nursing care according to the UTHC Collective Orders Guide.
The nurse will also be asked to travel and provide services to the seven LCSC points of service (including Kuujjuaq community health), if needed. For information only, the position will be based in Kuujjuaq.
Member of the O.I.I.Q.
Working experience in an Emergency Department and in obstetrics would be a major asset
Must have successfully completed training in Expanded Role in the current year and/or have experience in community health and remote outpost (Enlarged Role)
Bilingualism French/English (spoken and written) is essential and knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset
Ability to work in isolated milieu and within a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility and capacity of adaptation
Must be available to travel by plane into the other communities
BASE SALARY : Will be established according to the nomenclature of job titles, wordings, rates and salary scales of the health and social services network and according to the work experience relevant to the job title.
RETENTION PREMIUM between $391.86 and $475.83 /week depending on the village
NORTHERN PREMIUM between 203.66$/sem and 423.53$ / week depending on the village
HIGH COST LIVING PREMIUM between 74.17$ and 150.75$ / week depending on the village
CLSC PREMIUM 198.00 / week for 1911 - Clinical Nurse only
2491 Dispensary nurse (CLSC premium included in hourly rate)
MARGINAL BENEFITS : 19.30%

Any employee hired in Quebec more than fifty (50) kilometers from the location where he/she is to perform his/her duties, will be entitled to paid airfare, travel expenses from residence to the airport and lodging provided free of charge in transit or at the hotel for the duration of the temporary contract.
