Pediatric Pivot Clinical Nurse, based in Kuujjuaq

Permanent full-time position (37.50h/week)  
SUPERIEUR IMMÉDIAT :  Head of Programs CLSC – Nursing
DÉBUT DE LA FONCTION :  As soon as possible

Under the authority of the Head of Programs CLSC - nursing, the person participates in the planning and coordination of follow-ups for the clientele supported by pediatricians in the North. He or she will be responsible for local care, only for children followed in pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties. He or she must assist the pediatrician(s) assigned to the community, before, during and after visits to Nunavik. He or she will promote and take part in Telehealth interventions (teleconsultation or other services) with northern pediatric clients, and will take part in them, if necessary.


Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing;
Be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec (OIIQ);
A minimum experience of 1 year in pediatric;
Excellent clinical knowledge related to the pediatric clientele;
Experience in a northern region is an asset;
Having successfully completed the expanded role training is an asset;
Interest in continuing education and professional development in pediatrics;
Functional knowledge of the Office suite (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel), e-mail and internet software;
Good knowledge of the Nunavik health network;
 Skills for interpersonal relationships, teamwork and collaboration with various stakeholders;
Dynamism, autonomy and sense of responsibility;
Good judgment and sense of organization and planning;
Bilingualism required in two (2) of the three (3) languages in used in Nunavik (English, Inuktitut, French);
Holistic approach and cultural safety;
Available to follow the necessary training including stays in a northern environment.


Conditions and benefits

SALARY : Min : 1015.50$            Max : 1799.25$
ISOLATION PREMIUM : 203.66$ / week
HIGH COST OF LIVING : 61.16$ / week
RETENTION PREMIUM : 269.23$ / week
Any employee recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per her/his family status. Transit or shared lodging if necessary.
