STATUS: Temporary assignation - 36.25 hours/week 3 months with possibility of prolongation

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Public Health Coordinator
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: 
The person will work in collaboration with the Public Health to ensure the evaluation, screening and follow-up of people in contact or with contagious tuberculosis. Will also support people with latent TB infection (LTBI). The nurse assesses the state of health, performs her duties in an interdisciplinary team in accordance with protocols and medical prescriptions. She has the clinical responsibility for the care related to the health needs of clients with bio-psycho-social dimensions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing or a Bachelor's degree with 3 certificates, relevant experience can compensate for the absence of a Bachelor's degree
Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q.
Tuberculosis experience a major asset
Isolated region experience (enlarged role) an asset
Bilingual English / French (spoken and written). Knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset
Ability to work in an isolated environment and in a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility and adaptability
Have a valid driver's license
Available to move in different villages of the Ungava coast, according to the needs of the organization

Conditions and benefits

SALARY: Min.:  $ 915.31/week    Max.:  $ 1639.23/week
ISOLATION PREMIUM: 226.39 $ or $ 399.10/week, according to family status
HIGH COST OF LIVING: $ 85.14/week or more, according to family status
RETENTION PREMIUM:  $ 288.46 /week

Any employee recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per her/his family status. Transit or shared lodging if necessary.
