SUPERVISOR: Head of programs Home Care
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
Under the responsibility of the Head of Program Home Care, the person plans, coordinates and monitors respiratory therapy needs of the home-care clients. He/she monitors home users requiring care and / or support devices according to their respiratory condition in the territory of CSTU. He/she assesses the need for equipment and ensures the proper functioning of respiratory equipment belonging to home care, through audits and interviews. She is in charge of the screening, interpretation and follow-up of people referred for sleep apnea problems. He/she ensures that services are deliver in the respect of Inuit traditions, culture and language. He/she works in a multi-disciplinary team and has to collaborate with other service providers to ensure the complementarity of services. He/she visits the different points of service distributed along the territory served by the CSTU to provide services in all communities. He/she teaches clients, their families and intervenants. He/she has to develop protocols, tools, proceedings and ensure that everything is in harmony with the practice guidelines.
Have a college diploma specializing in respiratory therapy techniques, recognized by the Quebec Ministry of Education.
Minimum of 2 years experience as respiratory therapist.
Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the management of sleep apnea issues
Have a minimum of 2 years in sleep apnea screening and follow up
Know the programming and monitoring of CPAP devices.
Have expertise in the management of sleep apnea screening devices.
Relevant work experience in the Health and Social Services network.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
Good adaptation capacity.
Experience in remote areas would be an asset.
Good management of stress.
Bilingual French and English, spoken and written; knowledge of Inuktitut would be an asset
Ability to work in consultation with dispersed staff in communities
Available to travel to communities.
Valid driver's license
SALARY: Min: 829.50 $ Max: 1299.55 $/ weekly
ISOLATION PREMIUM: 191.93$ or 338.29$ / wkly., as per the family status
HIGH LIVING COST OF LIVING PREMIUM: 59.14 $ / wkly., or more as per the family status
