In accordance with the Covid-19 pandemic plan and under the supervision of the COVID Screening Clinic Program Manager and the Nunavik Entry Management Program coaching team, the interpreter will take part in the triage and screening activities of asymptomatic travellers travelling to Nunavik. He/she will have to implement public health recommendations for the Nunavik entrance management program through the Travellers Clinic, located in Saint-Laurent.
Assisting travellers in their registration process at the clinic;
Provide appropriate assistance for unilingual Inuktitut travellers;
Support team members in tasks requiring inuktitut mastery (written or oral communications, data entry, etc.)
Communicate quarantine instructions and other public health recommendations;
May be getting to work with the Nunavik Entrance Management Program team, based at the airport;
Participate in team meetings;
Perform any other tasks requested by the coordinator.
Flexibility to work on a variable schedule
Bilingualism (oral and written) French and/or English and Inuktitut (compulsory)
Excellent communication skills
Ability for teamwork
Candidates who benefit from the James Bay and Northern Quebec Convention will have priority.
Temporary full-time position
Hourly rate according to the rules issued by MSSS: between $20.55/hr and $22.35/hr
