Reporting to the Physical Plant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for keeping all facilities operational in compliance with current codes. The incumbent carries out installation, repair and overhaul work of all kinds for the entire Hudson Bay Coast real estate portfolio.
More specifically, this person carries out the work required to keep the facility's various systems in good working order. Fire alarm, electronic hardware, heaters, pump, motor, lighting, automated control, wiring, telecommunication, vehicle maintenance follow-ups, etc.
2.1 DUTIES :
Inspect, repair and/or replace building appliances and equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment (including heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems).
Ensure the smooth operation of the village vehicle fleet under his/her responsibility.
Read and interpret drawings and diagrams, plan work methods to determine tool and material requirements.
Carry out welding work as required, excluding high-pressure welding.
Observe all safety rules and regulations and follow lockout, infection control and other procedures.
Make recommendations for repairs or modifications to immediate supervisor.
Maintain inventory and place orders for materials, parts and equipment required for the maintenance of buildings under his/her responsibility.
Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting, locksmithing, ventilation and related tasks as requested by immediate supervisor.
Carry out snow removal and transportation work using appropriate equipment.
Moves and handles goods for the facility.
Valid DEP issued by the Ministry of Education.
Training in electricity and plumbing.
Specialization in automated control will be considered an asset.
Valid Quebec driver's license.
A minimum of four (3) years' experience in construction and/or maintenance in a commercial, institutional, industrial, government or municipal sector.

Salary: $26.57/hr
38.75h per week + on call
Retention bonus: starting at $114.99/week
Cargo premium: $115.64/week
Removal premium: from $203.66/week
3 to 4 annual outings depending on family status;
Up to 16 weeks of annual leave;
