Under the authority of the head of the physical facilities department, the incumbent must keep all facilities operational in accordance with the codes in force. It performs installation, overhaul or repair work of all kinds for the entire building stock on the Hudson Bay coast.
More specifically, this person performs the work to keep the various systems of the establishment in good condition. Fire alarm, electronic hardware, heaters, pump, motor, lighting, automated control, wiring, telecommunications, follow-ups for vehicle maintenance, etc.
Inspect, repair, and / or replace appliances and equipment in buildings.
Perform the preventive and corrective maintenance required for all equipment (including heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems).
Ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle fleet in the villages under its responsibility.
Read and interpret drawings and diagrams, plan work methods to determine needs for tools and materials.
Perform the required welding work, excluding high pressure welding.
Observe all safety rules and instructions and follow lockout, infection prevention and other procedures.
Make recommendations concerning repairs or modifications to his immediate supervisor. Maintain the inventory and place orders for materials, parts and equipment necessary for the maintenance of buildings under its responsibility.
Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting, locksmithing, ventilation or any other related tasks at the request of his immediate supervisor.
Perform snow removal and transport work using appropriate equipment.
Carry out moves and handling for the establishment.
Carry out on-call periods with his work team, if necessary
Hold valid compulsory PED issued by the Ministry of Education. Training in electricity, plumbing, refrigeration or building maintenance is an asset.
An equivalent demonstrated experience may be considered for training in addition to the PED.
Hold a valid driver's license in Quebec.
Have a minimum of four (3) years of experience in the construction and / or maintenance field in a commercial, institutional, industrial, government or municipal sector.

Salary: $29.22/h (including retention bonus) + remoteness and cargo bonuses.
38.75h per week + on call
Cargo premium: between $36.64 and $146.29/week depending on the village;
Distance allowance: between $203.66 and $423.53/week depending on the village;
3 to 4 annual outings depending on family status;
Up to 16 weeks of leave annually;

Moving costs and storage costs assumed by the employer, if applicable;
