EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY PHARMACIST (4000-147)
The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is a multivocational institution in Nunavik, which serves seven villages of the coast of Ungava Bay including Kuujjuaq, where is located the administrative center. The Health Center has nearly 500 full-time employees, a team of doctors, dentists and pharmacists, and manages a budget of $80 millions.
The Health Center seeks to receive application for different types of assignments that are available immediately or will become available in the coming months :
· Temporary replacement (40 hours/week) for a duration of 3 to 12 months
· Recall list to perform vacation replacements of regular staff (2 to 4 weeks at a time, many times per year)
· Possibility in the future to obtain a permanent full-time position
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FUNCTION:
Under the responsibility of the chief pharmacist, the pharmacist participate in activities related to the provision of pharmaceutical cares for the community aspect of the population of Kuujjuaq, for the Hospital in Kuujjuaq and for the six clinics (CLSC) of the Ungava Bay : control of the distribution and the use of drugs, monitoring and adjustment of the anticoagulant therapy, teaching nursing staff, pharmacology committee activities. The current work team consists of 2 full-time pharmacists, 1 part-time pharmacist and 4 technical assistants.
WORK SCHEDULE :
Day shift (8 hrs/day) from Monday to Friday with on-call rotation evenings, nights and weekends.
Member in good standing of the l’Ordre des pharmaciens du Québec;
Second Cycle Diploma, Master's Degree in Hospital Pharmacy or Certificate in pharmacie communautaire or equivalent would be an asset;
Relevant experience in Hospital Pharmacy, knowledge of Assyst Rx
Bilingualism spoken and written (English - French)
Ability to adapt and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, sense of responsibility
Salary and benefits according to the agreements signed between the APES and the MSSS:
Basic salary : Min. : 1682.00$/week Max. : 2124.40$/week for 40 hours
Isolation premium : 188.18$/week or more as per the family status
High cost of living premium : 59.14$/ week or more as per the family status
Recruitment/retention premium: 30%
Incentive 40h/week premium: 6%
Attraction and Retention premium : between 4% and 7.4% as per the salary scale
Fringe Benefits : 18.68%
Possibility also to sign a contract as self-employed or registered company.
