JOB TITLE:Plumber / Maintenance worker
STATUS: Permanent full-time position (38.75 h/week)
SUPERIOR: Director of Technical Services

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

TECHNICAL SERVICES:
The technical services maintain the property assets of the CSTU, including the Kuujjuaq hospital, the CLSC and Readaptation Centers of nine northern villages and more than 255 housing units.

FUNCTIONS:
Person who operate and assure general maintenance of various fixed apparatus as well as mechanical equipments such as boilers, air compressors, heating and ventilation systems, plumber systems. Ensure calibration and performs repairs as needed on various control systems used in our heating networks. Assemble, modify and repair fixed and mobile mechanical apparatus as per drawings and specifications. Accomplishes, in Nunavik, a variety of maintenance work and repairs in a variety of different construction trades within the guidelines of the law.
 

Qualifications

Must have a “Plumber” qualifying certificate issued by the authorized ministry
Pertinent experience as Plumber and Millwright
Pertinent experience in different construction and renovations trades
Knowledge of building maintenance
Possess a valid driver’s license
Knowledge of spoken and written English
Sense of organization and autonomy
Available to travel in the North
 

Conditions and benefits

SALARY: $959.45/ 38.75 hours
ISOLATION PREMIUM: $10 015 or $17 652 / year – As per the family status
CARGO PREMIUM: $3,075 per year or more– As per the family status
ATTRACTION PREMIUM:10%
ANNUAL LEAVE: 3 or 4 as per hiring conditions

POSTING PERIOD:  April 23rd, to May 7, 2019, inclusively
