STATUS: Temporary full-time (35 hours/week)
 (A few months replacement)
IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR: Head of programs (Youth and Family)

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible

 FUNCTIONS:  Under the authority of the Head of Programs and The SIPPE coordinator and in collaboration with the partners, the psycho-educator develops and actualises programs to meet the needs of children with developmental delays, with stimulation need or behavioral disorders.

Main tasks:
Actively participates in the early stimulation program and in its implementation in others communities of the Ungava Bay ;

Intervenes with children and their family in collaboration with different partners as daycare;

Acts as the pivot-intervener in different situations; ensure the keeping of records under his responsibility, develop individualized intervention plans and enters the data into sic +;

 Works with the multidisciplinary team and actively participates in clinical discussions;

Participates in the development and facilitation of prevention/promotion activities;

Participates actively in the organization of social pediatric day;

Supports the home visit program;

Coordinates the early stimulation program and supports, trains and supervises the family education workers;

Intervenes in crisis situation;

Must be on-call for the psychosocial service evening/night/week-end on rotation;

Is required to travel in the different communities of Ungava Bay.

Qualifications

Must withhold a first terminal University Degree in Psycho-Education;
Be an active member of the professional association OCCOPPQ;
Minimum of three years of experience with child 0-5 years with delays of development;
Knowing the SIPPE program and social pediatric would be a major asset;
Fluent in English and French (spoken and written), knowledge of Inuttituut would be an asset;
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
Sense of organization and autonomy;
Skills animation;
Ability to share knowledges and supervise interveners;
Willingness to travel within the territory when needed.

Conditions and benefits

SALARY: Min.   $883.75 / week           Max.   $1582.70/week
ISOLATION PREMIUM: $191.93 / week or according to family status
HIGH COST LEAVING PREMIUM: $59.14/ week or according to family status
RETENTION PREMIUM: $114.99 / week (until March 31st, 2020)


Any person recruited in Quebec more than 50 kilometers from the locality in which she is called upon to perform her duties, will be granted annual trips and lodging unit as per her family status, transit or shared lodging if necessary temporarily.
