ADMINISTRATIVE TECHNICIAN (secretarial duties)

WORK LOCATION : Kuujjuaq and teleworking
STATUS : Temporary full-time, for one year with possibility of prolongation
IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR : Director of Professional Services
STARTING DATE : As soon as possible

FUNCTIONS :
The person is responsible for PSD administrative processes and contributes to optimal office performance. She is responsible for the administrative and legal processes related to the application of the Institutional Custody Protocol. The person is also responsible for the administrative and coordinating duties related to the Council of Physicians, Dentists, Pharmacists and Midwives (CPDM) and the Department of General Medicine (DMG). It provides support to the medical secretaries of the Appointment Office. In addition, she provides the necessary documentation, maintains and collaborates with the various authorities (RRSSSN, MSSS) in the performance of her duties. Finally, she prepares, welcomes and supports students during their internship in the institution.

Qualifications

College Diploma in Administration, Business/Office or Paralegal technology or a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) combined with a relevant undergraduate certificate or an Attestation of Collegial Studies (ACS) of eight hundred hours or more combined with experience relevant to the field. In the absence of a DEC, a candidate with a Secondary 5 diploma with experience significative may be considered as an Administrative Officer. The applicable salary range will be that which corresponds to the candidate's level of education;

Two (2) years of relevant work experience in the Health and Social Services network or legal milieu or any other relevant experience;

Fluent in French and English (written and spoken), Inuktitut is an asset;

Thorough knowledge of the following software:  Microsoft 365, Office suite;

General knowledge of the Quebec health system (RAMQ, MSSS) and of the laws and regulations governing the application of an institutional confinement or treatment order (LSSSS, LPP, CCQ, …);

Ability to rapidly assimilate new knowledge;

Great autonomy, initiative, sense of organization skills and responsibilities;

Adaptation Capacity, analytical mind and proactive attitude.

Conditions and benefits

SALARY: Min. 822.50 $/week            Max. 1109.15 $/week

*Premiums will be prorated for time worked in Nunavik :
ISOLATION PREMIUM : 199.67 $ or 351.95 $/week as per the family status
HIGH COST OF LIVING PREMIUM : 59.14 $/week or more, as per the family status
RETENTION PREMIUM : 114.99 $/week

While in the North, the person will be housed by the employer in shared or transit accommodation if the situation requires it.
