The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is a multivocational institution in Nunavik, which serves seven villages of the coast of Ungava Bay including Kuujjuaq, where is located the administrative center. The health center has nearly 500 full-time employees, a team of doctors, dentists and pharmacists, and manages a budget of 80 million dollars. We maintain 110 residential and 25 institutional buildings in 10 northern villages.
Temporary assignment of 1 year with possibility of renewal (38.75 h/week)
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Coordinator of Technical Services
STARTING DATE: Creation of a new position
Under the authority of the Director and the Technical Services Coordinator, the person installs, troubleshoots, verifies, calibrates, builds and modifies biomedical electronic equipment and makes the necessary recommendations for its proper operation, including its safety aspect. May also, if necessary, perform similar tasks on industrial electronic equipment. Ensures compliance with quality standards. The person is called upon to cover all the services of the establishment such as patient care, laboratory, imaging, telecommunications and specialized refrigeration equipment. He/she participates in the development and implementation of optimization and preventive maintenance programs for medical equipment. The person will be called upon to perform work in seven northern communities in addition to being available for emergency on-call duty on a rotating evening, night and weekend basis. Depending on the needs, the person could be called upon to perform coordination functions. The person must be able to speak both English with employees and French with suppliers.
Hold a college diploma (DEC) in an electronics technology such as electronics technology, computerized systems technology or industrial electronics technology from a school recognized by the competent ministry;
A certificate in "Biomedical Technologies - Electronic Instrumentation" would be an asset;
A valid driver's license;
Three (3) years of relevant experience in installation/repair and preventive maintenance of medical imaging equipment and other types of biomedical devices;
Experience with CMMS (GMAO) software will be considered an asset;
In-depth knowledge of advanced electronics;
Ability and experience in inventory management;
Bilingualism French/English spoken and written, knowledge of Inuktitut an asset;
Sense of organization and autonomy;
Ability to travel to points of service, as required.
SALARY: Min: $881.18 Max: $1,239.61 / 38.75 hours
ISOLATION PREMIUM: $191.93 / week
CARGO PREMIUM: $59.14 / week
RETENTION PREMIUM: $114.99 / week (temporary measure)
