FUNCTIONS:
Under the authority of the Head of department biomedical engineering & information technologies, the person administers, supports, installs, configures and maintains the various micro-computer components (hardware and software) that make up the institution's computer network. The person manages the rights of access to the computerized information system; provides technical support to users of software and computer equipment and intervenes during service interruptions It supervises the links between the microcomputers connected by the Windows operating systems. More specifically, she performs the following tasks:
- Level 1 Support:
o Respond to user requests by phone and using the Octopus CMMS system
o Manage the Active Directory; install and uninstall software, manage passwords, popularize processes and support users, etc.
- May be required to work in level 2 support:
o Virtual machine management (VMware); backup verification (VEAM); server maintenance, etc.
She also handles new application implementation projects, working closely with internal users. She assists the Director and the Head of department in the specific functions of the institution's information system. She will be required to travel to Kuujjuaq and other communities as needed, which is estimated at approximately 16 weeks per year.
Must have a college diploma with a specialization in computer science (DEC) from a school recognized by the appropriate ministry or a DEC combined with undergraduate university certificate or an attestation of collegial studies (AEC) of 800 hours and more combined with experience relevant to the field.
Relevant experience of three (3) years; work experience in Health and Social services network is a major asset;
Bilingualism essential in French and English (spoken and written); knowledge of Inuktitut is an asset;
Leadership, initiative and strong autonomy; must be concerned by hight quality of service for the users;
Ability to work in a team and to give training;
Work experience in a remote region and Native milieu would be an important asset;
Valid driver’s license.
SALARY: Min.: 847.35$ Max.: 1131.20$ / 35 hours
