The Inuulitsivik Health Centre, with more than 900 employees, is part of the Québec health and social services network in the Nunavik region. It provides the population of the Hudson coast, composed of roughly 7 000 persons, with front-line health and social services, notably services for prevention, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation and support. Moreover, it ensures youth-protection services as well as management, for the Nunavik region, of Ullivik, located in Dorval. The latter’s mission is to receive Inuit travelling to Montréal to receive health services at participating Montréal hospitals. The Inuit population is distributed among the seven communities along the Hudson Bay coast, from Kuujjuaraapik to Salluit.

The physical-rehabilitation therapist shall define treatment plans and perform interventions with the goal of attaining optimal functional performance pursuant to an evaluation performed by a physiotherapist or to a medical diagnosis not limited to symptoms, indicating, as applicable, the type of structure affected, and accompanied by a record documenting the damage. He or she may also contribute to clinical teaching.

  • College diploma with specialization in physical rehabilitation from a school recognized by the ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport
  • Membership with the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec
Experience required
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as physical-rehabilitation therapist

Conditions and benefits

  • 35 hours/week; hourly rate from $24.05 to $32.93

  • Retention premium from $114.99/week to $206.02/week depending on number of years of service in the North
