Under the authority of the Direction of Community Services and supervised by the PLA program manager of Social Services, the Community worker based in the south, works in a team with the social workers also based in the south. They will also collaborate with local Community Worker(s)-Social Aid(s) and social workers based in the north to deliver day-to-day generic social services to clients placed in the south.
The Community worker is comfortable with working in a team to provide services and translation to clients placed in long-term institutions in the south. They will need to work with clients by providing culturally adapted services while supporting them in issues related to loss of autonomy and long-term placement care. They will help with organising visits of family members in the south.
High school diploma or equivalent experience
If collegial diploma in social technique, the job title will be accordingly.
Previous success working in any field in which interpersonal interactions were important is an
asset.
Must reside in the Montreal area or suburban or South shore
Driving licence
Bilingual, Inuktitut being one of the two languages.

Adaptability particularly as related to intervention techniques and strategies.
Acknowledgement of, and respect for, Inuit culture and values.
35 hours per week, flexible schedule according to needs
Salary between $24.21 and $32.32 per hour
