X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (4000-017)  X-RAY TECHNOLOGIST - KUUJJUAQ

 

The Ungava Tulattavik Health Center is a multivocational institution in Nunavik, which serves seven villages of the coast of Ungava Bay including Kuujjuaq, where is located the administrative center. The Health Center has nearly 500 full-time employees, a team of doctors, dentists and pharmacists, and manages a budget of $80 millions.

 

 

The Health Center seeks to receive application for different types of assignments that are available immediately or will become available in the coming months :

 

Temporary replacement (35 hours/week) for a duration of 3 to 12 months

Recall list to perform vacation replacements of regular staff (1 month at a time)

Possibility in the future to obtain a permanent full-time position

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: If you are now working within MHSS you are entitled to ask for a "leave of absence to work in a northern institution" (ref: articles 18.05 CSN Collective Agreement).

 

FUNCTIONS:Within the direction of Nursing Care and Hospital Services, this person is responsible for producing, upon a medical prescription, radiography for interpretation and ultrasound scans if the person has the required certification. She process, sends and files films, helps to maintain the supply inventory up-to-date for the Department and ensures the maintenance of the specialized equipment and working material.  As needed, she performs administrative tasks related (statistical reports or others, purchasing requisition, equipment and products orders, etc.).  Must be available to travel in other communities.  Ensures emergency on-call duty on a rotation basis.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a college diploma with a specialization in radiodiagnostic technology from a school recognized by the Ministry of Education, Recreation and Sports;
Certification in ultrasound scanning or relevant working experience in ultrasonography is an asset;
Active member of the O.T.R.Q;
Minimum of one (1) year of experience;
Bilingualism essential in French and English (spoken and written);
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team;
Initiative and autonomy.

Conditions and benefits

SALARY:                                           Min.: $ 785.75  Max.:  $1 152.55 / 35 hours

ISOLATION PREMIUM:                   $ 188.18 / week or more, as per the family status

HIGH COST OF LIVING:                   $   59.14 / week or more, as per the family status

RETENTION PREMIUM:                  Starting at $ 114.99 / week
