Sterilization Attendant - Kuujjuaq 4000-100

Under the authority of the immediate supervisor, prepare and sterilize linens, water, material and necessary equipment for the proper care of the hospital department, clinic and all other related services, when necessary.  Also, this person will have other tasks such as clerk for the department, clinic and liaison office regarding ordering of material and supplies.


More precisely, the person will have to:

Participate to the orientation and teaching of sterilization related tasks

Respect the norms, rules, values and mission of the organization

Ensure inventory follow up; inform the immediate supervisor when equipment is missing or damaged

Be available during the specialists visits (dental surgery, gynecology, E.N.T, gastroenterology, minor surgery)

Perform manual cleaning and high level disinfection of the endoscopes

Participate in the standardization of the sterilization in the various points of service

Qualifications requises

Must have a High School Diploma and a College diploma in sterilization technique

Pertinent experience as Sterilization Attendant

Bilingual (English, French) spoken and written is essential and mandatory

Sense of responsibility and organization, autonomous and good interpersonal skills

Capacity to adapt

Conditions et avantages

SALARY:                              Min.:   709.78$/week     Max.:   761.98$/week 

ISOLATION PREMIUM:      $188.18/week

HIGH COST OF LIVING:     $59.14/week

FRINGE BENEFITS:            20.68% for the first 3 months; 18.68% after 3 months

Any employee recruited within Québec, more than 50 kilometres from the locality in which she/he is called upon to perform her/his duties, will have the plane tickets paid and lodging free of charge in a transit provided by the employer.
